How the U-pick garden works + how you can get a bonus bouquet

Hello Reader,

Remember my email from last week when I announced the U-pick garden coming this summer?

In this email, I’ll tell you how it works and how you can get a free bouquet.

1.Get your container at the front counter

When you go to the store you can ask for a u-pick container at the front desk and punch your punch card (more on that below) or pay for the container. You can also borrow a pair of clippers to pick the flowers with. Then you take your container filled with water to the flower beds outside the store.

2. Fill it with flowers!!!

Now comes the fun part! You can pick whatever flowers you see blooming in the raised beds. There will be at least 4 beds to choose from. I've put a lot of care in choosing what beautiful flower varieties I think you'll love Reader.

3. Arrange your flowers and take them home

Now it's your chance to let your creativity shine! If you have a vase you can take out all your flowers and arrange them in the vase. Or when you bring them home you can divide them into a bunch of little vases and decorate your whole house! The sky's the limit on what you can do with your flowers.

U-pick Punch Cards

You can also prepay for your U-pick bouquets with our new Punch cards! You can treat yourself in advance and make sure that you get out to the U-pick garden. After all you already paid for it!

Annnd.... When you buy a Punch Card with five bouquets we’ll give you a sixth bouquet for free!

And don’t forget about your moms! The punch cards will make a great Mother’s day present as well. (Mother’s day is only 7 weeks away… but who’s counting?)

We’re selling these for $75 each at the General Store. They will be available at the Grand Opening event on April 4th and 5th.

There will be flower transplants for sale, games, discounts, prizes and goodie bags. It's going to be a fun weekend so I hope you can make it!

Your Flower Farmer,

Annika Vercillo

PS: Don’t forget to put the Grand Opening on your calendar for April 4th and 5th!

Hi Reader, I’ve been making bouquets for several years now and whenever I tell people what I do they always say: “Wow you’re so lucky!” And I know you aren’t thinking of weeding or the 95 degree days in July… you are imagining picking flowers in a sundress. I’m not going to lie, the best part of working with flowers is picking them in the cool morning while the sun rises. I’ve offered U-pick flower events annually, and everyone has loved them. So I have an exciting announcement to make!...

Remember me Reader? You may not even remember my name or how you signed up for my email list since I haven’t sent an email in over a year! I think the best thing is to reintroduce myself, explain where I’ve been and then you can decide if you’d like to keep hearing from me or not. I’m Annika DeMaster of Willow Haven Flowers which I started in 2019 as a summer job to make some money for my college education. I spent five summers growing flowers, making bouquets and running a business. I had a...

HelloReader, Did you grow up reading Anne of Green Gables like I did? Maybe you loved the dreamy descriptions of the lake of shining waters and violet vale just as much as hearing about her misadventures. Anne’s love of flowers practically leaps off the pages. This quote from the book shows the transformative power of flowers: Before flowers… “The parlor at Green Gables was a rather severe and gloomy apartment, with rigid horsehair furniture, stiff lace curtains, and white antimacassars that...
