Remember me? Flowers coming back in 2025!

Remember me Reader?

You may not even remember my name or how you signed up for my email list since I haven’t sent an email in over a year!

I think the best thing is to reintroduce myself, explain where I’ve been and then you can decide if you’d like to keep hearing from me or not.

I’m Annika DeMaster of Willow Haven Flowers which I started in 2019 as a summer job to make some money for my college education. I spent five summers growing flowers, making bouquets and running a business. I had a lot of fun learning and growing and meeting wonderful flower enthusiasts like you, Reader.

Then in 2024 I took a step back.

I in 2023 graduated college, got married, changed my name to Vercillo and had a baby all in the span of 11 months.

After that I needed to take a break and embrace my new roles as wife and mother. I hear that your first is the hardest because you are learning how to do everything again for the first time. Going to the grocery story with a baby is a completely different experience!

So why are you hearing from me now?

I’m going to be working with flowers again this year!

In the last year my parents who run Willow Haven Farm opened a new store location. Willow Haven Farm General Store opened at the end of November in Breinigsville PA. For those of you who are local it’s close to the Velodrome on Hamilton Blvd. They sell only organic, locally made products but there is a large selection of meats, vegetables, drinks, baked goods, cheeses, spices, gifts, and now flowers!

You can come see it at: 8150 Hamilton Blvd. Breinigsville, PA 18031.

My dad, farmer Reuben, is hiring me to run the flower department for the store and CSA. I’ll be growing flowers, making bouquets and even planting a U-pick garden.

There will be lots of fun things happening this year and I want to invite you to be a part of them. Do you want to be a part of the journey?

By staying on my email list you’ll get to hear updates about the growing season, new product offerings, events, and stories.

If you’re not interested you can unsubscribe, no hard feelings. Go to the bottom of the email for the unsubscribe link.

But for those of you who stick around, we’re going to have a lot of fun this year! Stay tuned for my next email.

Talk to you soon!

Your flower farmer,

Annika Vercillo

Hello Reader, Remember my email from last week when I announced the U-pick garden coming this summer? In this email, I’ll tell you how it works and how you can get a free bouquet. 1.Get your container at the front counter When you go to the store you can ask for a u-pick container at the front desk and punch your punch card (more on that below) or pay for the container. You can also borrow a pair of clippers to pick the flowers with. Then you take your container filled with water to the...

Hi Reader, I’ve been making bouquets for several years now and whenever I tell people what I do they always say: “Wow you’re so lucky!” And I know you aren’t thinking of weeding or the 95 degree days in July… you are imagining picking flowers in a sundress. I’m not going to lie, the best part of working with flowers is picking them in the cool morning while the sun rises. I’ve offered U-pick flower events annually, and everyone has loved them. So I have an exciting announcement to make!...

HelloReader, Did you grow up reading Anne of Green Gables like I did? Maybe you loved the dreamy descriptions of the lake of shining waters and violet vale just as much as hearing about her misadventures. Anne’s love of flowers practically leaps off the pages. This quote from the book shows the transformative power of flowers: Before flowers… “The parlor at Green Gables was a rather severe and gloomy apartment, with rigid horsehair furniture, stiff lace curtains, and white antimacassars that...
